Dilan Perisan presenta Muhabbet (Conversazioni affettive). Il progetto nasce dalla tensione tra convivialità e intimità e prende corpo attraverso un’indagine su come materia umana e non umana, geografie affettive e rituali si influenzano e si ridefiniscono reciprocamente. La mostra si configura come uno spazio di incontro in cui elementi eterogenei si avvicinano, entrano in dialogo e danno luogo a dinamiche che emergono nello scambio più che nella loro convergenza. Il concetto di muhabbet, radicato nelle forme di prossimità affettiva delle tradizioni sufi e alevite, attraversa questo orizzonte come una pratica che accoglie intensità e ritmi diversi, lasciando che elementi dissimili si incontrino senza perdere la propria singolarità.

Il Mar di Marmara e il Mar Nero, che scorrono affiancati nel Bosforo mantenendo condizioni idrografiche proprie, offrono un’immagine che accompagna la ricerca di Perisan. Come i due mari, anche i materiali messi in gioco dall’artista conservano differenze, strati e tempi distinti. Perisan lavora nella compresenza di elementi compositi segnati da precarietà e trasformazione. Le opere combinano materiali di provenienza diversa che trattengono tracce di processi asincroni, dagli oggetti condivisi o scambiati in contesti conviviali agli scarti quotidiani, facendo emergere l’opacità delle storie in cui si sono formati e una temporalità stratificata che abita la materia.

Una dimensione sociale e politica, intrecciata a quella relazionale, rimane in filigrana. La vita segnata da contesti differenti, le tensioni storiche che incidono sugli spazi abitati e le forme instabili di appartenenza che ne emergono orientano il modo in cui Perisan costruisce la propria pratica. In questa complessità si inscrive una solitudine diffusa e condivisa, una condizione che attraversa corpi e luoghi e incide sulle modalità con cui si costruisce la vicinanza tra materiali e soggetti e sul tempo irregolare della pratica artistica. I legami che percorrono la mostra suggeriscono una relazione mediata, come se il contatto passasse attraverso una doppia pelle che protegge entrambe le parti, rendendo possibile la vicinanza senza cancellare la distanza. Pause e riprese modulano il processo di assemblaggio delle opere e le configurazioni che ne emergono, delineando un fare aperto, discontinuo, in continua mutazione.

Dilan Perisan presents Muhabbet (Affective Conversations). The project arises from the tension between conviviality and intimacy and takes shape through an inquiry into how human and non-human matter, affective geographies and rituals influence one another and are mutually reshaped. The exhibition unfolds as a space of encounter where heterogeneous elements draw near, enter into dialogue and give rise to dynamics that emerge through exchange rather than through convergence. The notion of muhabbet, rooted in forms of affective closeness within Sufi and Alevi traditions, moves through this horizon as a practice that holds together different intensities and rhythms, allowing dissimilar elements to meet without losing their distinctness.

The Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea, which run side by side through the Bosphorus while maintaining their own hydrological conditions, offer an image that accompanies Perisan’s research. Like the two seas, the materials the artist brings into play retain differences, layers and distinct temporalities. Perisan works within the compresence of composite elements marked by precarity and transformation. The works combine materials of varied origin that hold traces of asynchronous processes, from objects shared or exchanged in convivial settings to everyday scraps, making visible both the opacity of the stories in which they took shape and a layered temporality embedded in the matter.

A social and political dimension, intertwined with the relational one, remains in filigree. Life shaped by different contexts, the historical tensions that mark inhabited spaces and the unstable forms of belonging that arise from them inform the way Perisan constructs her practice. Within this complexity, a diffuse and shared condition of solitude emerges, a state that moves across bodies and places and shapes how proximity is built between materials and subjects, as well as the irregular tempo of the artistic practice. The connections that run through the exhibition suggest a mediated form of relation, as if contact were moving through a double skin that protects both sides, making closeness possible without erasing distance. Pauses and resumptions modulate the process of assembling the works and the configurations that arise from it, outlining a mode of making that remains open, discontinuous and in constant mutation.
