Un milkshake non è solo la somma dei suoi ingredienti, è il gesto che li unisce, la violenza dolce che li riduce in polpa. Un atto di fiducia nel caos, nella possibilità che dalla mescolanza nasca qualcosa di nuovo, di inaspettato, di vitale. Il milkshake è una metafora della convivenza creativa, della tensione feconda tra diversità e individualismi. Questa mostra è un invito a vivere la convivenza come un laboratorio, dove gli artisti dello studio lavorano sulla tensione tra il desiderio di isolarsi e la necessità di confrontarsi.
Nella nostra terza mostra collettiva degli artisti residenti a Marsaladue, la Project Room diventa luogo di incontro e dialogo, dove si cerca un possibile percorso fra i diversi lavori. Milkshake è il desiderio di assemblare di fondere insieme le nostre idee, le nostre personalità, quasi un atto autodistruttivo delle scelte individuali che non bada alla forma o al ‘sapore finale’. Le opere in dialogo qui non si limitano a coesistere, si intersecano, si sovrappongono, a volte si respingono, ma sempre si nutrono reciprocamente, come ingredienti di una ricetta che non ha mai fine.
Ci sono sentieri invisibili che legano le opere e gli artisti in questa installazione pensata come somma. Una struttura che ricorda gli Omen, gli Steinmann delle montagne, piccoli torri di pietre che indicano il percorso, la via da seguire.

This exhibition is an invitation to live coexistence as a laboratory, where artists of the studio work on the tension between isolation and collaboration.
In our third group exhibition of Marsaladue resident artists, the Project Room becomes a place of encounter and dialogue, where together we forge a possible path between the different works. Milkshake is the desire to assemble and blend our ideas, our personalities, almost a self-destructive act that pays no attention to form or to the 'final flavor'.
The works on display intersect, overlap, and sometimes clash, but always nourish each other, like ingredients in an endless recipe.Invisible paths connect the works and artists, like the Steinmann in the mountains, little stone-towers guiding us through the journey.
