Dilani Perisan presenta Muhabbet, un progetto che nasce da momenti di convivialità e da un’attenzione a come materia umana, non umana e riti si formino in relazione reciproca, dando luogo a intrecci transitori. Muhabbet osserva ciò che accade quando elementi eterogenei entrano in contatto fra loro: orientamenti e trasformazioni creano  in queste interazioni, mantenendo densità e velocità differenti che si influenzano senza sovrapporsi. La mostra assume come riferimento la coesistenza del Mare di Marmara e del Mar Nero, che scorrono affiancati nel Bosforo con ritmi e profondità diverse. Questa immagine orienta il modo in cui l’artista lavora attraverso relazioni e materiali, trasformando i residui dei processi in elementi del lavoro.

In mostra compaiono materiali che portano le tracce delle trasformazioni avvenute nel tempo: superfici, residui, frammenti e oggetti raccolti si manifestano come esiti di incontri, contatti e variazioni di ritmo, rendendo visibile una presenza materica generata dalle relazioni che l’hanno attraversata. Una dimensione socio-politica rimane in filigrana: la vita tra contesti diversi, le tensioni storiche che segnano le geografie di riferimento e tempi di vita discontinui contribuiscono a definire la maniera in cui Perisan costruisce relazioni all’interno dei processi materiali. A questi si intrecciano tempi corporei irregolari, fatti di pause e riprese, che guidano l’attenzione e influiscono sul modo in cui l’artista si muove tra i materiali del lavoro.

Dilan Perisan presents Muhabbet, a project that grows out of moments of conviviality, with attention to how human and nonhuman matter and rituals take shape in reciprocal relation, forming transient entanglements. Muhabbet traces what happens when heterogeneous elements come into contact: orientations and transformations arise within these interactions, sustaining distinct densities and speeds that influence one another without merging. The exhibition takes as a reference the coexistence of the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea, which flow side by side through the Bosphorus with different rhythms and depths. This image informs the way the artist works through relationships and materials, turning the residues of the process into components of the work.

The exhibition brings together materials that hold the traces of transformations accumulated over time: surfaces, residues, fragments and gathered objects appear as outcomes of encounters, contacts and shifts in tempo, making visible a material presence shaped by the relations that have passed through them.

A socio-political dimension remains in the background: living across different contexts, the historical tensions that shape the geographies involved and discontinuous tempos of life contribute to how Perisan forms relationships within material processes. Interlaced with these are irregular bodily tempos, marked by pauses and resumptions, which direct perception and influence how the artist moves within the materiality of the work.
